Lobbying Teams Priorities: NYSCOPBA Agenda Uniondale, Long Island, New York, July 20, 2005 Island Strategies, Inc. has completed its first legislative session as lobbyist for the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association, Inc. During the recently adjourned session, the Island Strategies team was able to get the approval of the State Senate and the Assembly on four major pieces of legislation that will provide substantial benefits to the members. In addition to its legislative activities, the Island Strategies team coordinated six major legislative days for NYSCOPBA members. During those days, teams of NYSCOPBA officials visited with key legislative leaders to promote the NYSCOPBA legislative agenda. Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., one of Long Island’s largest law firms, established Island Strategies in 2001.
